A 30-year-old civil servant, Peter Brima, on Wednesday 20th May 2026, made another appearance before Magistrate John Manso Fornah at Pademba Road Court No. 2 in Freetown on one count charge of larceny in a dwelling house contrary to Section 13(a) of the Larceny Act of 1916.

According to the particulars of offence, the accused, Peter Brima, allegedly committed the offence between Saturday 28th February 2026 and Sunday 1st March 2026 at No. 9 Charlotte Village, Freetown.

The court heard that the defendant allegedly stole the sum of five thousand two hundred and ten United States Dollars (US$5,210), equivalent to one hundred and twenty-four thousand New Leones (NLe124,000), property of Lovetta Kamara.

When the matter came up in court, proceedings could not continue due to the absence of Prosecution Witness Number Two, who was expected to testify before the court.

Prosecution Counsel informed the court that the witness was absent, thereby making it difficult for the prosecution to proceed with the hearing of the matter.

In response, Magistrate John Manso Fornah ordered that subpoenas be served on the absent prosecution witnesses to ensure their attendance at the next adjourned date.

The accused was ordered to continue on his previous bail conditions pending the hearing of the matter.

The case has been adjourned to 28th May 2026 for further proceedings.
