NCTVA Offers Provisional Accreditation To Eden College

Eden College is proud to announce that it has officially received Provisional Accreditation from the National Council for Technical, Vocational and Other Academic Awards (NCTVA).

This significant milestone marks a major step forward in the institution’s commitment to delivering higher-quality education and skills-based training aligned with the national development agenda.

Eden College is a higher education institution that is located at Mamamah, Magbontobana, Gba-Gbai Road, Koya Chiefdom, Port Loko District, North-West of Sierra Leone. For over 200 years, the Chiefdom has been without a Higher Education Institution, it will formally commence operations in the 2026-2027 academic year.

The provisional accreditation confirms that Eden College has met the NCTVA’s institutional, academic, and administrative criteria.

It recognizes the College’s adherence to approved curriculum frameworks, qualified departments, appropriate learning facilities, governance structures, and quality assurance systems.

Speaking on the achievement, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr. Emmanuel Kandeh Kanu, expressed gratitude to the management team of NCTVA for their guidance and support throughout the pre-accreditation process.

Mr. Kanu acknowledged the Ministry of Technical and Higher Education (MTHE), and the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) for building strong Higher Education Institution (HEI) accreditation procedures, to guarantee quality assurance in service delivery, and exceptional thanks to other stakeholders, whose collective efforts made this accomplishment possible.

Receiving provisional accreditation from the NCTVA is a proud and defining moment for Eden College. It validates our vision of providing accessible, relevant, and high-quality technical and vocational education that empowers deprived learners and contributes to the national development agenda, he concludes.

With this accreditation, Eden College is now authorized to offer HTC, TC, Diploma, and Certificate programmes under the NCTVA framework, enabling students to pursue nationally recognized qualifications. The accreditation enhances the credibility of the institution and assures students, parents, employers, and partners of the quality and relevance of its programmes.

Eden College remains committed to continuous development and academic excellence as it works toward full accreditation.
