The Drone Newspaper made its debut on the 1st of August, 2023, heralding a new era in the Sierra Leonean media landscape. Founded by seasoned journalist and passionate patriot, Alex Lawrence Koroma, with over a decade of experience as a volunteer, announcer, reporter, presenter, and producer at Radio Democracy 98.1FM, motivated by a clear and ambitious mission: to provide the public with balanced, accurate, and correct information. As an independent and non-partisan medium, The Drone Newspaper pledges to deliver news items that had been meticulously fact-checked to ensure fairness and accuracy in its operations.
Alex Lawrence Koroma’s educational journey took him from St. Edwards Primary School to the prestigious Albert Academy, and ultimately to Fourah Bay College. With this background, Koroma is prepared to lead the paper with professionalism and integrity.
