He noted that the company’s management continues to leverage its rich history, heritage, success, and corporate culture to enhance public understanding, build trust, and further expand its business growth. He described NP (SL) Limited as “the past, present, and future” of Sierra Leone’s downstream petroleum sector, emphasizing the company’s deep commitment to both the market and the country.

Baluwa Koroma further encouraged NP (SL) Limited to sustain its expansion drive and prioritize initiatives aimed at developing petroleum infrastructure, particularly storage facilities and retail outlets. He added that despite the growing number of operators within the industry, the Government remains fully committed to supporting NP (SL) Limited to ensure its continued growth, sustainability, and contribution to national revenue generation.

He also highlighted that NP has maintained its leading position over the decades and has transformed many of its operations through digital innovation, a move that continues to enhance the company’s visibility and competitiveness across the African sub-region.

The Director General disclosed that the management of NP shares the vision of His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio to ensure the accessibility of petroleum products to Sierra Leoneans, noting that the company’s business model aligns with the Government’s development aspirations.

In his remarks, the Chief Executive Officer of NP (SL) Limited, Ing. Mohamed S. Kanu, expressed delight over what he described as his maiden unveiling ceremony since returning to the country. He briefly highlighted the company’s achievements in Sierra Leone and outlined some of its strategic plans for the years ahead.

Ing. Mohamed S. Kanu further stated that his team remains deeply appreciative of the leadership, management, and staff of the NPRA for their continued support, cooperation, and commitment to the growth of the petroleum industry, particularly during challenging periods.

He disclosed that despite the increasing number of operators within the sector, NP (SL) Limited remains determined to maintain its position as a leading petroleum company, not only in Sierra Leone but across the sub-region. He stressed that the company would continue to remain proactive rather than reactive in responding to industry developments.

The CEO also revealed that, with the approval and support of the NPRA management, NP (SL) Limited plans to construct five modern retail gas outlets nationwide.
