Court Informed Of Complainant’s Death

Alphajor Jalloh has been arraigned before the court for alleged forgery, contrary to Section 4(1) of the Forgery Act 1913.

According to the police charge sheet, the accused was arrested on 12th November 2025. The prosecution alleged that on Thursday, 15th May 2025, at Percival Street in Freetown, Jalloh, with intent to defraud, forged a document purporting to be a receipt for the payment of fourteen thousand Leones for store rent.

The said receipt, dated 5th January 2025, was allegedly made to appear as though it was owned and signed by Alhaji Amadu Wurie Jalloh.

During proceedings, Prosecutor 15098 Sesay M.A. applied for an adjournment to enable a forensic analyst to testify in the matter.

Magistrate Mamakoh granted the application and adjourned the case to 27th March for further hearing.

The court was also informed that the complainant in the matter has passed away.
