Alie Kabba Visits Sir Jimmy Batilo Songa

Former Minister of Foreign Affairs and senior SLPP stalwart, Alie Kabba, paid a courtesy visit on the National Chairman of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), Sir Jimmy Batilo Songa, at the party’s headquarters in Freetown.

The meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere marked by mutual respect, friendship, and a shared commitment to the progress of the SLPP and Sierra Leone.

During the engagement, Alie Kabba reflected on the party’s journey since 2018, and acknowledged the leadership of President Julius Maada Bio in laying a solid foundation for national development, democratic governance, and institutional growth. He emphasized that the responsibility of party leaders and members is to protect, strengthen, and build upon these achievements.

Kabba expressed confidence in the leadership of Chairman Songa, noting his capacity, commitment, and determination to further strengthen the party and consolidate its gains.

He also stressed the importance of unity, discipline, and collective responsibility as essential pillars for preparing the SLPP for future electoral victories and continued national service.

In response, Chairman Songa warmly welcomed Alie Kabba and described him as one of the party’s most experienced and strategic leaders. He commended Kabba’s longstanding contributions to the SLPP, particularly during the party’s years in opposition, and his role as National Campaign Manager in the successful 2018 elections.

The Chairman further praised Kabba’s service as Minister of Foreign Affairs and highlighted his continued contribution to national development and party advancement.

Chairman Songa reaffirmed the SLPP’s commitment to strengthening party structures, promoting unity, and ensuring that the achievements recorded under President Julius Maada Bio are sustained and expanded.
