The Humble African Development Party (HADP) has met with persons with disabilities in Waterloo to discuss their challenges and assure them of the party’s commitment to supporting their welfare.
The meeting, held on August 23, 2026, formed part of the party’s engagement with communities as it seeks to explain its vision and plans for vulnerable groups across the country.
Speaking at the gathering, the party’s Chairman, Ibrahim Cotor, said HADP was concerned about the difficulties faced by persons with disabilities, particularly in accessing food, healthcare, housing and other basic necessities.
He said the party, under the leadership of Abubakarr Alharazim, would prioritise the welfare of vulnerable people and work towards providing meaningful support rather than making promises that cannot be fulfilled.
“We are here to give you assurance that we are stepping fully into this process and will do everything possible to ensure that your concerns are addressed,” Cotor told the gathering.
He further encouraged the beneficiaries to remain hopeful, saying the party’s leadership was committed to listening to their concerns and working with them to find practical solutions.
Cotor also called on the public, particularly those who feel neglected by the current system, to support the party’s call for change.
He said HADP believes the time has come for citizens to speak out about the challenges affecting their lives and demand better leadership.
The meeting ended with assurances that the party would continue engaging persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups as part of its wider programme of community outreach.
