Thirty seven years old Mohamed Kamara, an electrician, has been sent to the male correctional facility in Freetown by Magistrate Mustapha Brima Jah of Pademba Road Court No1 on a count charge, to wit: Larceny contrary to section 2 of the larceny Act of 1916.
According to the particulars of offence, on Sunday 3rd May 2026 at Waterloo in the western area Rural, did steal twenty five meters of electrical cables, each valued at one hundred and fifty Leones, all to the total value of thirty seven thousand five hundred Leones (37,500), property of Electric Distribution and Supply Authority (EDSA).
When the charge was read and explained to the defendant, he pleaded not guilty
The Prosecutor, Tommy B Zizer Esq, intimated that he has served the defendant with a copy of his witness statement.
Meanwhile Magistrate Jah refused bail based on the seriousness of the offence, and the matter was adjourned to the 1st June 2026.
