Twenty-year-old Amadu Koroma, an unemployed man, has been remanded at the Male Correctional Facility in Freetown after appearing before Magistrate John Manso Fornah at the Pademba Road Magistrate Court No. 2 on one count of larceny, contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of the offence, on Sunday, 2 August 2026, at Thoronka Drive, Leicester Village, Mountain Rural District, Western Area, Freetown, Koroma allegedly stole fifteen empty bottle crates, white folding chairs, a folding table, and other assorted items, all valued at Le54,150,000, property of Hajaratu Soko Sesay.
When the charge was read and explained to him, the accused pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecutor, Sergeant 3379 Theresa Ballay, informed the court that she had served the accused with a copy of the case and inquiry file. The accused admitted receiving the documents.
Meanwhile, Magistrate Fornah refused to grant bail, citing the seriousness of the alleged offence. The matter was adjourned to 25 August 2026 for further hearing.
