Chief Minister, Dr. David Moinina Sengeh, has disclosed that African business magnate, Aliko Dangote, has pledged US$48,000 in support of Vision 2030, describing the commitment as one of the notable outcomes of Sierra Leone’s recent high-level engagements.
Speaking during the Ministry of Information’s Weekly Press Conference at the Miatta Conference Centre in Freetown, Dr. Sengeh said the pledge reflects growing confidence in Sierra Leone’s development agenda and the opportunities emerging from the country’s increasing regional and international engagement.
According to the Chief Minister, the commitment forms part of broader efforts to strengthen partnerships and mobilise support for the country’s long-term development goals under Vision 2030.
He noted that the recent ECOWAS engagements have created new opportunities for collaboration across the continent, particularly in trade, investment and regional cooperation.
Dr. Sengeh further highlighted the importance of building strategic partnerships that will help accelerate Sierra Leone’s economic transformation and position the country as a competitive destination for investment.
